| was never going to get here.Consider what

| | will squirm and wiggle during the school

| it's like to be an adult during the

| | Christmas play.Grade-schoolers and
|
| holidays:Frantically running around,
| |
| | preteens will want to stay up all night
|
| trying to get everything done.Trying to
| |
| | on Christmas Eve.Teenagers will want to
|
| live up to all the expectations and
| |
| | walk 20 feet away from you in the mall,
|
| obligations.The feeling that we just
| |
| | be with their friends and ask "is that
|
| don't have enough time.Exhaustion,
| |
| | all there is" after opening their
|
| crowds, stress, crowds, over-eating,
| |
| | presents.Parents will get frustrated
|
| crowds.We treat the holidays, at best, as

| | trying to cope with anything that says

| if they come as a surprise, and at worst,
| |
| | "some assembly required." Here's a tip:

| like they are some kind of emergency.This

| | Read the instructions first.Plan, plan,
|
| turns what is supposed to be a source of

| | plan ahead, and then plan ahead some

| celebration into a major source of stress

|
| done. And then we wonder why we don't

| | don't feel you have to be jolly. Give

| enjoy the holidays. I call it Frantic

| Holiday Syndrome.That's the bad news.The

| | grieve.Remember that whatever you do, you
|
| good news is that families can fight FHS.
